Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello is an American actress. Her film credits include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013) and Lights Out (2016). Bello was a star in the world of television as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998) and with other prominent roles, like Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath as well as Jacqueline Sloane, Special Agent on NCIS between 2017 and 2021. Bello was born on April 18 1967 in Norristown Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Kathy, a school nurse and teacher as well as Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. In the field of political science Bello studied in political science at Villanova University. Bello continued to train in acting through a variety of New York theater productions after she graduated. Bello, along with Dan McDermott is the proud mother of Jackson. In November 2013 she wrote about her having a relationship that was sex with her former partner, Clare Munn. She released a book titled Whatever...Love Is love: Questioning the labels we assign to ourselves (Dey Street Books, April 28 in 2015).
